Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, better called Ari Lennox, is an American artist and performer who hails from Washington, D.C., who was the first female to join J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. The label released her first album titled Pho in the month of October 2016 where she started to get recognition. Shea Butter Baby released her debut studio album on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox first posted her music on the internet in 2012. The singer released her debut album Ariography as well as her debut mixtape in 2013 with Five Finger Discount. In 2014, she continued to release her music on the internet including her independently release single Bound. The 21st day of July, 2015. Omen featured her on Elephant Eyes' track Sweat It Out. J. Cole asked her to collaborate with him for Rihanna's remark. Then, later in the season, the music was played all over Dreamville. She was officially signed with Dreamville Records on 8 December. Backseat is one of the songs was written by her and Cozz for the collaborative album Revenge of the Dreamers II. In the month of October, she released her first EP, Pho. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change and also performed on The 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as the opening performance. In 2018, Ari Lennox appeared on two tracks with EarthGang and EarthGang, on Nothing but the Best, and Bas on Icarus. On the 16th of July in 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single, Whipped Cream on her first album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video that was released on the 5th of September. In November, she dropped two singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. In November 2013, she dropped No One, and Pedigree. She then appeared on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track titled Shea Butter Baby on November 16th. She released the single on the 26th of February, 2019 for her debut album of the same name. In February of 2019, her music video to the track debuted. The track has garnered over three million YouTube views in just a single week. She supported the 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour back in December of the year 2018.
